Are you a seasoned compliance professional with a passion for driving accountability and regulatory excellence? We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations consistently comply with relevant obligations within the private health insurance and utilities distribution sectors.

In this position, you will work closely with the Head of Compliance and other members of the compliance team to maintain our compliance framework, foster a strong culture of integrity, and provide actionable guidance to business units. You will lead our compliance efforts while overseeing our offshore Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure operational alignment and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Framework & Policy Management

- Maintain and uplift our compliance management frameworks, policies, and practices to ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory obligations and internal policies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of relevant policies, procedures and tools to facilitate effective compliance and obligation management.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Act as a trusted advisor, reviewing business processes to identify potential compliance risks or inefficiencies in controls and suggesting suitable process improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with external parties to manage compliance audits.
- Review marketing material for compliance issues.

Quality Assurance Leadership

- Lead and manage our offshore Quality Assurance team, ensuring that quality and compliance standards are consistently met across all operational outputs.

Monitoring & Reporting

- Leverage data and insights to proactively identify risk, drive root cause improvement, and enhance compliance performance.
- Prepare monthly compliance reporting, providing clear visibility of control effectiveness, obligations,



and manage incident/breach reporting to ensure full visibility of compliance health for senior management.

Regulatory Oversight

- Monitor regulatory developments, interpret requirements, and advise the business on necessary process changes.

Training & Awareness

- Work with our L&D; team to create and deliver compliance training programs to uplift organisational capability and awareness.

What We're Looking For

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring

- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance-focused role, with a solid understanding of compliance management standards, frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Sector Knowledge: A solid understanding of private health insurance compliance and regulatory requirements and/or the retail energy sector compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Salesforce (or a similar CRM) is essential for managing compliance workflows and documentation.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate compliance requirements into clear, actionable outcomes.
- Framework Expertise: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing compliance management frameworks.

Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Familiarity with the Australian Standard for Compliance Management Systems (AS ISO 37301:2023).
