About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent’s Representative to provide operational contract supervisory services across major and complex building and engineering projects.
Working within a high-performing project delivery workplace, you will play a pivotal role in administering construction contracts, ensuring contractual compliance, managing contractor performance and supporting the successful delivery of government infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake regular site inspections to monitor project progress, quality, safety, and compliance
- Administer construction contracts, including issuing Variation Orders and assessing contractual claims
- Process Contractor Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure completed works comply with contract documentation
- Prepare and manage defects lists throughout project delivery
- Ensure Building Act compliance inspections are undertaken and appropriately documented
- Support dispute resolution processes by providing expert contractual and technical advice
- Apply contract administration policies, procedures and standards across project activities
- Implement post-contract performance evaluation processes and reporting requirements
- Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders regarding time, cost and quality matters
- Mentor and provide guidance to Superintendent’s Representatives and contract administration support staff
About You
This opportunity is ideal for a construction professional with strong contract administration experience and a sound understanding of building and engineering project delivery.
Ideally, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in contract administration and contract supervisory services within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of contractual processes associated with traditional and non-traditional construction contracts
- Experience assessing variations, claims, contract compliance and project delivery risks
- Ability to build strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, clients and stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Current Driver Licence
Highly Desirable
- Experience administering government building and construction contracts
- Knowledge of public sector contract administration frameworks and procedures
- Experience working on major building, infrastructure or engineering projects
