Wintringham is a specialised non-religious not-for-profit welfare organisation. We are committed to providing older people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness with a range of high-quality care, housing and services. We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania

Our Gilgunya Residential Aged Care located close to Melbourne’s CBD offers affordable, high-quality accommodation to people aged 50 years and over. We provide a protected, flexible and caring family-style environment, which allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles, habits and activities and to be as independent as they choose to be.

Your new role

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Domestic Services Attendant to join our residential team at our Gilgunya site in Coburg on a Casual basis as a Cleaner. Be part of a supportive and collaborative environment, where your dedication to excellence is recognised and valued. Your roster will be determined by ad hoc opportunities to provide relief to the residential team.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

- To clean resident rooms, office space and staff rooms
- To clean and maintain storage areas.
- To maintain stock levels and cleaners room.
- To clean duplex bathrooms and laundries on a scheduled cycle.
- Cleaning duties as per schedule.
- Assisting the Food Services & Laundry teams when necessary
- Abiding by Wintringham’s infection control procedures

We are looking for candidates with the following:





- Previous experience in a cleaning role (mandatory)
- Have received, are planning to or willing to receive an Influenza Vaccination
- Knowledge and understanding of the special needs of older people
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to use cleaning equipment effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work autonomously
- Physically able to perform required tasks

Successful candidates will be required to comply with the Wintringham Health and Immunisation policy including having one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as well as the 2026 Influenza Immunisation before commencing employment, and must provide evidence.
