Overview
Kentish Community Services Ltd – Tennant Creek, NT
Contract position, full‑time. Commencement: Immediate start. Ongoing employment. Pay: $81,154.32 to $91,153.32 per annum.
The Kentish Early Learning Centre in Tennant Creek is a licensed centre for 50 children per day. The organisation focuses on early childhood education, providing safe nurturing environments that support children’s literacy, creativity, problem‑solving, numeracy and language skills, as well as social development and cultural heritage appreciation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain respectful relationships with children, families and team members.
- Respect and provide support and inclusion for all children, regardless of gender, cultural background or socio‑economic status.
- Work as a team, sharing room responsibilities.
- Manage children’s behaviour and guide social development.
- Provide care and supervision of the daily routine of children.
- Plan, implement, assess and review a high-quality and diverse educational programme based on appropriate curriculum frameworks, referencing the NQS & EYLF and considering developmental needs, interests and abilities of all children attending the service.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Previous experience in the Early Childhood Sector.
- Excellent understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
- Flexible hours – able to work rotating shifts from opening to closing hours.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Current Senior Early Childhood First Aid and CPR certificate.
- National Police Clearance Certificate and a current Working with Children’s Card.

Pay & Conditions
- Hours: Flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Pay: Based on the Children’s Services Award (MA ) with potential for additional benefits, including above‑award pay rates.
