About the Role

Our Business Advisory division located in the heart of Fremantle are seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

As a Senior Accountant, you will go beyond traditional number-crunching, providing valuable insights that help our clients thrive. In this role you will analyse financial information, prepare financial reports, and maintain meticulous records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for the Firm’s clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Apply basic tax compliance procedures
- Assist with tax planning for clients
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies & trusts




- Prepare financial statements that comply with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards
- Apply knowledge of the clients' business workplace and industry positioning to deliver tailored advice
- Prepare clear, concise and accurate work papers that serve as evidence of work performed and the foundation for decision making
- Support clients with everyday Xero enquiries and issues
- Complete requisite regulatory forms
- Comply with lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements

Required Qualifications

- Business/Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- 2+ years in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Completed or working towards CA or equivalent
- Previous experience using Xero software
- Previous experience in public practice
