About The Team

We conduct airborne missions for the Australian Government across maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations. With bases strategically positioned across Australia, weoperatea fully integrated in-house aviation capability which includes flight operations, maintenance organisation, trainingorganisationand operations centre.
The Opportunity
This role is an prospect to contribute to the Leidos Airborne Solutions team by delivering outcomes that matter.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead the Cairns team, plan, distribute and oversee scheduled maintenance ensuring team compliance in line with MOE/Part 145 MOS.
- Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.
- Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer whenrequired.
- Ensure allaircraftmaintenance,
documentation and certificationiscarried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements.
- Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices whenrequired.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.
Essential For This Role
- Experienced LAME B1/B2 or dual licensed
- Heavy and Line maintenance Experience
- Experience leading an engineering team
- DHC8 Classic or CL604 Type Rating
