The Team
The Rehabilitation Services Unit at Mersey Community Hospital is a dedicated 12-bed sub-acute facility committed to delivering exceptional rehabilitation care to patients across the North-West region. Our highly skilled multidisciplinary team enhances patients’ functional and cognitive abilities, promotes independence, and improves quality of life following injury or illness using an individualised, patient-centred approach.
The Role
As an Enrolled Nurse within our Rehabilitation Unit, you will:
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
- Provide education, support, and guidance to patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation journey.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months experience as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
Eligibility
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines).
Appointment Details
Fixed term, part-time, shift worker position, working up to 32 hours per fortnight, commencing 4 October 2026 until 20 November 2027. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $73,109 to $80,524 per annum (pro rata). Additional 12% superannuation contribution. Post Graduate Allowance up to 7.5% based on qualification type. Salary packaging includes living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year.
