Remuneration: $34.94 - $35.99 p/h + 12% Super + NFP Salary Packaging

Your Part in The Wesley Hospital

Maintenance Officers are responsible for a variety of preventative, scheduled and reactive requests to maintain and service UCH property, including buildings, grounds, infrastructure and equipment. Maintenance Officers demonstrate a broad skillset to perform activities required and work individually or as part of a team.

- Undertake routine preventative or scheduled maintenance activity promptly and to the highest standard to ensure all employees and visitors safety while at our facilities.
- Work undertaken may include but is not limited to:
- Maintenance and repairs of hospital buildings and equipment such as minor wall repairs, patching, painting and cleaning.
- Non‑licensed repairs such as resolving water leaks and concrete/paving repairs.
- Conducting critical plant checks (where trained).
- Servicing air handling units, pumps and fans.
- Assisting tradespersons as required and responding promptly to reactive maintenance requirements, including minor department and common area maintenance, for example servicing taps, changing light globes and other minor repairs.

- Ensure all plant, fittings and equipment meet regulatory compliance standards.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner with work undertaken to a high standard.
- Ensure all work activity is documented and logged in the asset management system.

What makes a difference for us?





- Demonstrated experience in a similar role including broad maintenance skills to address basic carpentry, plumbing and/or motor maintenance.
- Certificate in Facilities, Building or Construction.
- Desirable to have experience in healthcare.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
- Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements, as well as undergo a national criminal history check and functional assessment.
