u003cp>Reporting to the Director, we are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our growing East coast operations team based on the Sunshine Coast.Key responsibilities of the role will be to work across a range of Civil Infrastructure construction projects in order to deliver timely and accurate estimates that ensure the on-going success and growth of Whittens.u003cp>The successful candidate will provide first class estimation and contracts management capabilities as well as efficiently delivering estimates to the estimation team and developing and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels internally and externally.u003cp>
Your Role
u003cul>u003cli>Provide First Principal Estimating Processes from end-to-endu003cli>Prepare and price estimates in their entirety and develop detailed project budgetsu003cli>Peer review of estimates completed by other estimators to ensure accurate pricing is preparedu003cli>Prepare risk and opportunity analysis prior to tenderingu003cli>Deliver tender assumptions, clarifications, and queriesu003cli>Prepare submission of progress, variations and claims documentation and price drawing changesu003cli>Administer relevant correspondence as required in conjunction with Head of Commercialu003cli>Identify issues affecting compliance and action to correct in conjunction by clearly communicating all risks, opportunities and tender conditions to the Directoru003cli>Build and maintain solid working relationships with the client, sub-contractors, suppliers, contractors and all other external bodiesu003c/ul>u003cp>
About you:
u003cul>u003cli>Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the Civil Construction or Infrastructure industries -exposure to remote Concrete / FRP / Earthworks projectsu003cli>Formal tertiary educations in QS, Engineering, Project Management, Contracts Management or similar - Preferredu003cli>A minimum 10 years Estimating experienceu003cli>Understanding of the National Code of Practice, procurement and construction methodologyu003cli>Exposure to tenders on large scale self-perform projects from $10-100Mu003cli>Strong attention to detail and accuracyu003cli>Self-starter with ability to communicate with all stakeholder levelsu003c/ul>u003cp>
