Quarry Manager – Moama Sand Lead

Inspire. Deliver. We are seeking a dynamic Quarry Manager to lead our Moama Sand operation and drive operational excellence across all aspects of the business. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will have full responsibility for the safe, effective, and profitable operation of the quarry. This hands‑on leadership role requires a strong focus on safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

- Lead and develop a small, high‑performing team while fostering a positive, inclusive, and safety‑focused culture.
- Operate mobile plant and running the processing plant as required as part of daily site activities.
- Manage quarry operations, including production, processing, maintenance, and logistics.
- Deliver operational targets through effective planning, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage the site’s financial performance, including budgets, cost control, forecasting, and profit and loss accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and legislative requirements.
- Oversee quarry development, rehabilitation, environmental management, and asset maintenance programs.
- Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, regulators, and the local community.
- Maintain a strong customer focus and act as a key point of contact for site customers.
- Identify sales opportunities and provide quality leads to the Territory Sales Manager to support business growth.
- Drive operational efficiencies while maintaining product quality and exceptional customer service.
- Promote a Zero Harm culture through visible leadership and proactive risk management.

About You

- Demonstrated experience managing a quarry, mining,



extractive industry, or similar heavy industrial operation.
- Experience leading and developing small operational teams in a hands‑on setting.
- Willingness to work alongside the team and actively participate in plant operation and production activities.
- Proven experience managing operational budgets, KPIs, and financial performance.
- Sound knowledge of quarry operations, mobile plant, maintenance planning, and production processes.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to build relationships, identify opportunities, and support sales growth.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Well‑developed problem‑solving abilities and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications in Quarry Management, Mining Engineering, Extractive Industries, or a related discipline (desirable).
- Current Driver’s Licence.
