Our client is a growing real estate private capital firm providing debt and equity capital solutions to leading Australian property sponsors and developers.

They are seeking an experienced Investment Operations Manager to establish and lead their investment operations capability.

Reporting directly to the Founding Partners, this newly created role will take ownership of end-to-end investor and fund operations while helping build the operational infrastructure required to support the firm’s continued growth.

This position will suit a hands‑on investment operations professional who enjoys executing critical operational activities whilst identifying opportunities to improve processes, implement systems, and create scalable operating frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the end-to-end investor onboarding process, including AML/KYC requirements, investor documentation, subscriptions, transfers and registry maintenance;
- Act as the primary operational contact for investor‑related queries, ensuring a high standard of service and communication;
- Coordinate and execute capital calls, distributions, investor notices, funding reconciliations and cash movement processes;
- Maintain accurate investor records and ensure the integrity of investor and fund data across all investment vehicles;
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of investor reports, communications and responses to due diligence requests;
- Support the operational management of funds, mandates and investment structures, including fund launches, investment closings and new product implementation;
- Coordinate operational workflows supporting investment transactions and ongoing fund administration activities;
- Assist with annual financial statement preparation,



audits and tax reporting requirements;
- Develop, maintain and enhance operational policies, controls, procedures and documentation;
- Drive process improvement initiatives, automation opportunities and technology enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability and investor experience;
- Lead and support strategic projects, including new fund launches, business transformation initiatives and operational best‑practice implementation; AND
- Ensure operational activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies, regulatory obligations and governance standards.

Key Requirements:

- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or Business;
- 5-10 years' experience within investment operations, ideally gained within an investment manager, private markets firm, fund administrator or investor registry environment;
- Demonstrated experience managing investor onboarding, registry administration and fund operational activities;
- Proven experience coordinating capital calls and distribution processes;
- Robust understanding of fund operations, investor servicing and operational controls;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency across Microsoft Office applications;
- Experience designing and improving operational processes, workflows and controls;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with investors, advisors and key stakeholders;
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and commitment to operational excellence;
- Ability to operate autonomously, take ownership and thrive within a high‑performing entrepreneurial environment; AND
- Experience within private markets, real estate, private credit or wholesale investment funds will be highly regarded.
