Manager Decision Support – Business Banking Finance

Business Banking (BB) is a significant division of the Group, serving Major Client Group, Corporate Banking, Regional and Agribusiness, Small Business Banking, and Equities and Margin Lending (including CommSec). The business unit contributes approximately $4bn to group profit, generating annual revenues of about $10bn with over 5,000 employees globally.

BB Finance is a divisional finance team within the Financial Services division. The team prioritises a supportive and inclusive workplace, offering flexibility, career development and continuous learning, alongside a commitment to achieve outstanding results.

This role is part of a team of three Finance professionals who partner with BB by providing a range of Finance expertise and services to help deliver on their ambitious strategy.

This role reports to a Senior Manager Decision Support.

Key Responsibilities

- Build strong partnerships across BB Finance, the business and the broader finance community to deliver aligned outcomes, influence decision making and support the successful execution of strategic priorities.
- Prepare time‑critical business reviews of strategic investments and transactions.
- Perform analysis for ad hoc requests to facilitate decision making by the business.
- Provide outstanding stakeholder management across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Participate in a proactive risk‑based culture.

Key Impact & Contribution

- Articulate key business drivers, provide critical insights to drive debate,



and deliver value‑add analysis across the BB portfolio of products and segments.
- Advise and review strategic investments and transactions (including working closely with M&A;).
- Produce analysis and insight to drive BB performance and strategy.
- Produce peer analysis to compare Business Banking performance relative to peers.
- Prepare high‑quality presentations and supporting analysis/insight for senior management (BB Group Executive, BB CFO, BB Leadership Team and Group Finance).
- Act as a point of contact for BB CFO, BB Finance GMs, and Group Finance regarding strategic transactions.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with Finance and Non‑Finance stakeholders including BB Finance Teams, BB business, M&A;, Group Finance and Group Accounting Policy.
- Contribute to team culture and nurture a positive work environment.

Qualifications

- Degree qualified (Business or Finance).
- Post‑graduate qualification – CFA, CPA or CA; financial services experience preferred.
- Experience in a financial performance management or related advisory function.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise, with proven experience developing models.
- Results driven.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables.
- Risk mindset – all employees are expected to proactively identify, understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
