About the role

Casual support workers are required to provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes within the Bathurst region. The role includes travelling to clients’ homes using your own car, for which you will be paid $0.99 per km plus paid travel time.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care such as helping with showering and dressing
- Assist around the home, including meal preparation and light house cleaning
- Provide transportation to appointments and assist with shopping
- Assist with medication management

Qualifications and Requirements

- Female applicants only (recognised as a genuine occupation qualification under Section 31(2h) of the Anti‑Discrimination Act 1977)
- Valid driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable, insured car with at least third‑party property insurance
- Experience in aged or community care or a desire to start a career in aged care
- Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support preferred; unqualified applicants can be trained
- Adaptable availability, ideally Monday to Friday
- Patient, solutions‑focused, and able to relate to people




- Will consent to a criminal record check, reference checks, and a pre‑employment functional assessment

Payment and Benefits

- Hourly rate $31.31 to $34.12 plus $0.99 per km and paid travel time
