About the opportunity: The role is to support the CSSD department by ensuring the cleaning, sterilisation and control of surgical instruments and equipment. You will work with a team to support the peri‑operative department and help maintain a high standard of quality‑controlled processes.
Responsibilities:
- Drive quality‑controlled systems within the CSSD department.
- Clean and sterilise surgical instruments and equipment.
- Support the peri‑operative department and work effectively in a team.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant policies and procedures and apply contemporary infection control standards and practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a Certificate III in Sterilising Technology or equivalent, or be willing to obtain it.
- Prior experience as a CSSD Technician, EN, or AIN in a healthcare facility is preferable.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, weekends and on‑call shifts.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control standards and practices.
- Ability to work on a casual basis.
