Carpenter – Full Time

Location: Welshpool, Western Australia 6106

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

We also provide a comprehensive range of equipment and products, supporting the mining, oil & gas, and construction industries across Australia and internationally. We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Carpenters to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining timber and metal structures used across mining, industrial, commercial, and construction projects. You will work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure all carpentry work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and Australian Standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install timber, plywood, steel framing, and other building materials.
- Construct, install, and repair formwork, flooring, walls, ceilings, partitions, doors, windows, and roofing components.
- Install fixtures, fittings, cladding, handrails, stairs, and other structural components.
- Carry out maintenance and repair work on existing buildings, structures, and site facilities.




- Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all carpentry work complies with building codes, project specifications, and workplace safety requirements.
- Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople to complete projects within required timeframes.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and maintenance activities where required.
- Assist in mentoring apprentices and junior carpenters.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.

Skills and Experience

- Minimum 1–2 years of full-time experience as a Carpenter or in a similar carpentry role.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, building materials, and construction methods.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in industrial, commercial, or construction environments.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
