Carevo connects qualified dietitians with NDIS and aged‑care providers across Australia. The role focuses on clinical assessment, care planning, and reporting for clients in these settings.

Responsibilities

- Perform clinical nutrition assessments, including health history, medications, eating patterns, and swallowing function.
- Create tailored nutrition care plans to address conditions such as malnutrition, dysphagia, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, inflammatory bowel conditions, obesity, and pressure injury risk.
- Provide formal dysphagia assessments and prescribe IDDSI‑compliant texture‑modified diets.
- Document clinical reasoning and produce functional nutrition assessments for NDIS participants.
- Maintain timely, clear reports for aged‑care providers and other stakeholders.
- Attend community or home‑based visits as required and communicate recommendations to clients and carers.

Client Types

Clients include older Australians on Support at Home budgets with nutrition risk factors; NDIS participants with disability‑related nutrition needs; and residents in aged‑care facilities receiving community dietitian services.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited Australian program.
- Documented experience in medical nutrition therapy and in aged‑care or NDIS services.
- Competence in dysphagia assessment and management, including texture‑modified diet prescription.
- Experience with NDIS and/or aged‑care documentation and reporting.
- Solid clinical reasoning and the ability to explain dietary advice clearly.
- Comfortable working independently in community and home‑based settings.
- Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable transport for client visits.

Checks and Credentials

- Current National Police Check – valid 5 years.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check – valid 3 years.
- Professional indemnity insurance – required for community‑based and NDIS work.
- Dietitians Australia membership – $400 to $800 per year, renewed annually.

Pay

Indicative hourly rates based on the Health Professionals and Support Services Award (MA ) as of July 2025:

- Weekday: $38–$58 per hour.
- Saturday: $57–$87 per hour.
- Sunday: $67–$102 per hour.
- Public holiday: $76–$116 per hour.
