Job Coach – Project SEARCH Employment

Location: Brisbane City

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Remuneration: $46.70 per hour + Super + NFP Salary Packaging

Responsibilities

- Develop effective networks and partnerships internally and externally with all Project SEARCH stakeholders to support the achievement of quality client outcomes.
- Work in partnership with the leadership team and host sites, developing a range of internships that teach interns competitive and marketable skills transferable to community jobs.
- Identify, assess and select eligible young people with a disability to participate in the Project SEARCH program in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Complete assessments to determine intern capacity, support requirements and areas for skill development.
- Provide employment preparation training and vocational and non‑vocational interventions to assist interns in managing employment‑related barriers and developing skills.
- Provide individualised on‑job support to each intern during the internship rotation.
- Achieve Job Placement Key Performance Indicators by undertaking employer engagement activities to secure post‑program employment opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with follow‑on services such as Disability Employment Service providers to assist each intern’s transition into open employment.

Qualifications

- Certificate IV in Employment Services, Disability Services,



Community Services or other relevant qualification (or lesser formal qualification with experience in a similar role).
- Willingness to obtain required vaccinations, national criminal history check and functional assessment.
- Demonstrated experience in culturally sensitive case management and planning practices related to people with a disability.
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across a range of stakeholders, including the business sector, community members and organisations.
- Existing robust connections within the sector, capable of opening doors and securing post‑program employment opportunities for interns.
- Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS environment, funding and reporting models, service delivery models, and quality service frameworks.
- Demonstrated understanding of key legislation at the Federal and State levels that impact service delivery for Disability and Employment Services.
- Current driver’s licence, Positive BlueCard, NDIS Worker Screening Check and First Aid Certificate.
