Our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to partner directly with executive leadership and the Chief Information Officer to shape organisation‑wide strategy, guide major technology investments, and establish architectural foundations for a prominent education provider. You will lead enterprise architecture across business, information, application, and technology domains to drive digital transformation, reduce complexity, and foster a sustainable "One System" approach across multiple campuses.

Your primary responsibilities include
- Define strategic architectural direction, roadmaps, and governance frameworks across business, data, application, and technology domains.
- Chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB)
and provide authoritative advice on major technology investments, emerging capabilities, and enterprise platforms.
- Establish and uplift Enterprise Architecture (EA) maturity across hybrid (on‑premises) and cloud infrastructure.
- Modernise the technology landscape by progressively phasing out legacy systems while maximising value across the Microsoft technology stack.
- Architect robust data governance and privacy controls to ensure the safe, compliant handling of sensitive personal information.
- Embed cyber security principles into architectural designs, leveraging frameworks such as the Essential Eight to safeguard critical data and systems.
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring
- Technical Toolkit: Deep expertise across the Microsoft technology stack, hybrid and cloud environments, cyber security controls (Essential Eight), and enterprise frameworks (TOGAF or SABSA certified/experienced).
- Experience: Proven track record as an Enterprise Architect setting up complex, large‑scale enterprise architecture, with essential domain experience within Education or multi‑site enterprise environments.
- Core Capabilities: Exceptional executive stakeholder engagement, strategic vision, and the ability to bring clarity to complex challenges while inspiring enterprise thinking.
