Camping Ground & Caravan Parks Officer

Job Type: Permanent (Full Time) - Location: Bombala

Salary: $59,965.00 - $66,191.00

Responsibilities

- Coordinate the collection of fees and charges as per Council procedures.
- Receive Council bookings and enter them into the Council booking system.
- Carry out cleaning duties of the Caravan Park/Camping Ground facilities (toons, barbeques, laundry, cabins, camp kitchen) ensuring health and guest standards, reporting any damage or breakages promptly.
- Maintain information racks with up-to-date tourism information.
- Maintain surrounding plant (trees, shrubs, hedges, garden beds) through mowing, weeding and watering to acceptable standard.
- Assist with the cleaning of public toilets according to the roster in collaboration with the Open Space and Recreation Team.
- Support administration duties such as developing policies & procedures and managing the booking system.
- Contribute to the performance of the Council: demonstrate professional conduct, make effective use of knowledge, experience and skills, and be accountable for own decisions and actions.
- Contribute to a safe workplace by complying with legislative and organisational requirements, and be accountable for own decisions and actions.





Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in cleaning, servicing and maintenance of facilities.
- Proven ability to operate and maintain equipment (e.g. whipper snippers, mowers, pressure cleaners).
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Commitment to manual lifting in accordance with Work Health and Safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Current Class C driver’s licence.
- Valid Working with Children’s check.

Desirable Criteria

- Experience with booking systems and caravan park operations.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Current Safe handling of chemicals certificate.
- Safe Sharps handling certificate.
