Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Quarry Manager to lead the team at our Axedale Sand and Gravel Quarry in Country Victoria, 25 minutes east of Bendigo. The role reports to the Area Manager and involves managing the quarry operation, including production, continuous improvement, health & safety, logistics, and full P&L; responsibility.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage people, guiding the team to achieve set goals.
- Make business decisions impacting overall performance, including targets, KPIs, financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations, covering quarry development, stormwater and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Drive rehabilitation efforts and uphold the company's reputation as a responsible and sustainable partner.
- Maintain a strong safety mindset, manage high‑risk activities, and reduce risk exposure for all.

Qualifications

- Experience as a quarry manager or supervisor with relevant industry qualifications.
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to support continuous improvement across the supply chain.




- Track record of delivering transformational change within a complex business environment.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to risk management and Zero Harm, with a strong safety mindset.
- Team player capable of multitasking and making quick, effective decisions under pressure.
- Positive presence in building robust relationships with stakeholders.
- Resilience and adaptability to changing situations.
