We’re changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change? UGL Utilities are recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor to join our team on a newly awarded Substation Project in NSW.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site-based electrical construction activities.
- Manage electrical crews, subcontractors and apprentices to ensure productivity, quality and compliance.
- Oversee installation and termination of cables, earth grids, HV plant, switchgear and associated services.
- Coordinate works in live operational environments including substations.
- Lead toolbox talks, pre‑start meetings and safety initiatives.
- Ensure HSSEQ, QA and project documentation requirements are met.
- Monitor progress, workforce performance and timesheets.
- Support workforce development, inductions and compliance training.
- Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders and site leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience within the construction industry in a team‑lead/supervisory role.
- Strong planning and coordination skills.
- A proven record of driving continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated organisational capabilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
- Knowledge of LEAN principles.
- Experience with Primavera, MS Project, SAP and experience on substations green or brownfield sites.
