The Customer Service and Dispatch Agent will support the growing business of Alex Fraser, a leader in delivering recycled building and construction materials. This role is based in Derrimut and will help coordinate the dispatch of recycled concrete, aggregates and road base products.

Key responsibilities

- Answer and manage customer calls from Victorian and Queensland customers
- Confirm orders and respond to general enquiries
- Allocate trucks to the schedule, coordinating up to 50 trucks per day
- Work closely with Transport and Logistics teams and Key Account Managers
- Use internal software to co‑coordinate dispatch activities
- Maintain accurate records in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Qualifications and skills

- High‑level numeracy and strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
- Ability to develop product/industry knowledge quickly
- Strong presentation, negotiating and influencing abilities
- Emotional resilience and a positive attitude




- Capacity to work productively under pressure and with a solution‑orientated mindset
- Experience in construction, aggregates, or telephone‑based logistics is advantageous (not essential)

Working arrangements

- 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave
- Full‑time (40hrs per week) with rotating shifts: 6:30am – 4:00pm, Monday‑Friday, plus up to 2 half‑day Saturdays per month (paid additionally)
- In‑office role based at Derrimut with the option to work remotely as required
- Company laptop provided
- Free on‑site parking

Remuneration & perks
