About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker with Kompass, you will provide individualised support that helps participants achieve their goals, build independence, and participate within their community.

Your role may include

- Community access and social participation.
- Supporting daily living skills and independence.
- Personal care (where required).
- Transporting participants to appointments and activities.
- Supporting capacity building and personal goals.
- Domestic assistance.
- Medication support (where trained and authorised).
- Following participant support plans and behaviour support strategies.
- Completing clear and accurate progress notes and documentation.
- Building positive relationships with participants, families, carers, and allied health professionals.

Applicants must have

- Minimum 1.5–2 years' experience working as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar role.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with participants, families, and the support team.




- Ability to complete detailed and accurate documentation, including progress notes.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Reliable, registered, and comprehensive insured vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
- Full working rights in Australia.

- A patient, calm, and compassionate nature , with the ability to remain supportive in a range of situations.
- A warm, friendly, and approachable presence that helps participants feel safe, respected, and valued.
- A genuine commitment to building trusting relationships with participants and respecting their choices, goals, and individuality.
- The ability and willingness to work collaboratively with families, carers, guardians, and allied health professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a supportive team.
- Confidence supporting participants with a range of needs, including complex behaviours.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays where required.

Highly regarded





- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or related qualifications.
- Experience supporting people with autism, intellectual disability, psychosocial disability, or complex needs.
- Medication competency.
- Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
