The Role
South‑West Operations Manager comes at an exciting stage of Warrikal’s growth journey. Having gained a significant foothold and strong capability across the Mining & Minerals sector, we now seek to appoint an experienced leader to build our presence and oversee our project operations across the Southern and Goldfields regions of Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountability for developing and executing the regional growth strategy, and ownership of the regional Opportunity Pipeline and Planning Framework.
- Regional business development and market expansion, through strategic client engagement and long‑term account development.
- Driving market intelligence, opportunity identification and portfolio prioritisation.
- Providing leadership and direction to Shutdown Maintenance and Sustaining Capital project teams in the Southern region.
- Providing visible and effective safety leadership,
promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.
- Overseeing the planning and execution of works to ensure safety, quality, and schedule outcomes are achieved.
- Assuming full P & L ownership, including budgeting, cost control, and financial performance.
- Developing and mentoring operational leaders and site‑based teams, thereby continuing Warrikal’s reputation of delivery excellence.
About You
A commercially astute and "hands on" leader, you can balance operational delivery with strategic growth. You have a proven background in a similar operations or regional leadership role across multiple commodities, deep experience in shutdowns and/or sustaining capital delivery, and a track record that includes exceptional client engagement and business development. The ability to "go the extra mile" while delivering safe and profitable outcomes will ensure your progression as Warrikal continues to grow.
