Lead the Tendering of Some of Australia's Most Complex Electrical Projects
Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator looking to take ownership of complex, landmark projects?
I am representing one of Australia's leading Tier 1 electrical contractors, a business with an outstanding reputation for delivering some of Melbourne's most technically challenging projects across healthcare, commercial construction and mission-critical data centres.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and solid growth ahead, they're looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Estimator to play a key role in their team, securing projects ranging from $20M to $200M+ electrical value.
Working alongside an experienced pre-construction team, you'll be responsible for managing the full tender process from initial enquiry through to successful handover. You'll lead complex bids, mentor junior estimators and work closely with senior management to develop winning strategies on high-profile projects.

Overview of Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of accurate and competitive electrical tenders.
- Analyse drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
- Develop detailed take-offs, cost plans and pricing strategies.
- Obtain and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and construction teams during bid development.
- Present tender submissions and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Assist in mentoring and developing junior estimating staff.
About You
- 7+ years' experience estimating commercial electrical construction projects.
- Experience delivering large-scale projects valued from $16M upwards.
- Exposure to data centres, hospitals, major commercial or critical infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of Australian construction contracts and tendering processes.
- Excellent commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Experience using industry estimating software with advanced Excel skills.
