About the Role

As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant (female), you will provide personalised home care support to older Australians in Darwin , helping them continue to live independently in their own homes.

You will travel between multiple clients homes across Darwin and surrounding suburbs, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed $1.01 per KM travelled while you are working).

We have casual opportunities with shifts available Monday to Friday between 8am and 7:30pm, with occasional weekend work and no evening or overnight shifts. Successful candidates will have at least 3 days of availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Domestic assistance such as light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeing
- Community access to medical appointments and social activities
- Provide support with daily tasks and routines
- Build positive relationships with clients and their families

Skills & Experience

- An Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
- Experience and/or qualification in aged care or support work
- A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and Provide CPR (HLTAID009) certificate/s (must be obtained prior to employment)
