Mapei, headquartered in Milan and operating worldwide, is opening a new state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing plant in Truganina, Victoria. The Production Supervisor will oversee production shift operations in Melbourne.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Monitor performance of team leaders and operators, ensuring processing requirements are met.
- Limit nonconformities and prevent incorrect manufacturing by vigilantly monitoring team performance.
- Monitor plant operation and alert maintenance staff to any unusual plant‑related issues or incidents.
- Train production operators in various tasks and assess competency.
- Complete production reporting and associated paperwork accurately.
- Plan and manage delivery of bulk raw materials and liaise with purchasing to ensure timely receipt of other raw materials for scheduled production.
- Manage production consumables and items, ensuring safe work practices for all team leaders and operators.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years experience as a supervisor.
- Cert IV Frontline Supervision; CPIM Basics of Supply Chain desirable but not essential.
- Exposure to industrial environments and ability to safely operate plant and equipment.
- Experience with stock, warehousing and processing of raw materials.
- Solid management and leadership skills.
- Ability to understand operation of machinery, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment and basic maintenance requirements.
- Forklift licence required.
