A rewarding opportunity to join a not‑for‑profit Christian charity that provides integral support services to people living with disabilities. The Salt Foundation is looking for an experienced female support worker to support a mature female participant in South Yarra.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, meal preparation and assistance with everyday household tasks.
- Support participation and meaningful engagement within the participant’s home and community environments.
- Assist with medication management and support behaviours of concern.
- Maintain accurate records and support the implementation of behaviour support plans.
Shift schedule (minimum 2 shifts per week):
- Monday to Friday: 10 am – 2 pm or 3 pm – 7 pm
- Saturday: 10 am – 3 pm

- Clear communicator, reliable, sensitive and compassionate.
- Professional approach with genuine passion for caring.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience supporting participants with schizophrenia.
- Minimum two years’ experience working with complex care.
- Experience in providing personal care.
- Experience in medication management.
- Ability to de‑escalate and support behaviours of concern.
- Experience with behaviour support plans.
- Explicit and effective communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record management.
- Reliable and committed.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Relevant industry qualification.
Required Certifications & Checks
- NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- NDIS orientation module.
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Access to a personal motor vehicle and comprehensive motor vehicle insurance.
- Australian working rights.
