Experienced Veterinary Nurse – Part-Time Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis.

Our modern, multi-faceted facility offers a comprehensive range of veterinary and allied services, including Radioactive Iodine treatment, Ultrasound, and Digital X-ray, as well as Doggie Daycare, Grooming, Behaviour Training, Cat Boarding, and Hydrotherapy.

Our 700sqm purpose-built facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and supported by a welcoming culture that values teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement. We also share a solid appreciation for our onsite café—fuel for a busy and committed team!

We primarily care for small animals and place a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing, professional development, and a supportive, positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

- Provide nursing support including anaesthetic monitoring, animal handling, IV catheter placement, and blood collection
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold infection control standards
- Support administrative tasks and junior nursing staff where required
- Contribute to delivering high-quality patient care and excellent client service in collaboration with the team

Qualifications

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (essential)
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in veterinary nursing
- Confident in all aspects of nursing support including anaesthetic monitoring, animal handling, IV catheter placement, and blood collection
- Strong client communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Competent in maintaining accurate medical records and upholding infection control standards
- Able to support administrative tasks and junior nursing staff where required
- Positive, team-focused attitude with the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a sense of humour
- Passionate about professional growth and ongoing learning
