Stride Mental Health

Dubbo

Overview

About Stride We are leaders in mental health service delivery, specialising in working with adults and young people, and in early childhood intervention. Stride is a name that expresses our ambition – it’s a name that’s purposeful and shows awareness of the important role we play in the recovery journey. We invite you to join us to make a difference as we stride forward.

About Our Partnership Stride, in partnership with Wellways and Clarity Health Care, will soon be opening the Western NSW Medicare Mental Health Centre with locations in Dubbo and Bathurst. The Medicare Mental Health Centres are part of Australia’s reform of mental health and wellbeing services. The centre is funded by Western NSW Primary Health Network through the Australian Government’s PHN Program and provides a free, safe and welcoming space to access mental health advice, supports and services. Walk-ins are welcome; services are confidential and no appointment or referral is required.

About The Service The services in Dubbo and Bathurst are funded by the Australian Government to provide a streamlined approach to support better mental health and social wellbeing. The service is tailored to the needs of the regional NSW community and combines peer-led recovery with clinical support. The Medicare Mental Health Centre offers a safe, welcoming setting for people experiencing psychological distress and provides access to trained mental health professionals within the community outside a clinical setting, as an alternative to presenting to the Emergency Department for low-risk individuals.
