Help shape the future of the perinatal workforce.
Baby Makes 3 is seeking an Emerging Workforce and Postnatal Program Lead to help shape the future of perinatal services across Victoria and beyond.
This is a unique opportunity to lead two complementary portfolios that strengthen primary prevention during the transition to parenthood – from preparing the future workforce through university partnerships to supporting implementation of Baby Makes 3's postnatal program with Maternal and Child Health services, local government and community organisations.
If you enjoy building partnerships, translating evidence into practice and supporting others to create meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
As the Emerging Workforce and Postnatal Program Lead, you will lead two exciting portfolios that strengthen Baby Makes 3's statewide impact.
Working across tertiary education, Maternal and Child Health services, local government and community organisations, you'll help embed gender equality into professional education while supporting high‑quality implementation of Baby Makes 3 programmes for new parents.
This is a highly collaborative role combining strategic partnership development, workforce capability, implementation support, innovation and continuous improvement.
This role offers flexibility, with a base location in Box Hill and hybrid working arrangements. For the right candidate, we are also open to a fully remote working arrangement.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leading implementation of Baby Makes 3's postnatal group programme across Victoria and with interstate partners.
- Building partnerships with universities, Maternal and Child Health services, local government and community organisations.
- Supporting integration of gender equality and primary prevention into tertiary education curricula.
- Designing and delivering workforce development, implementation resources and facilitator support.
- Contributing to the ongoing evolution, evaluation and sustainability of the Baby Makes 3 initiative.
This role is a flexible part‑time (0.8 FTE) position.
Desired Skills and Experience
You will bring:
- Experience coordinating or leading programmes within health, community, education or prevention settings.
- Solid partnership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confidence facilitating learning, professional development or workforce capability initiatives.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- A passion for gender equality, primary prevention and creating systems change.
- The ability to think strategically while enjoying practical implementation.
You’ll help shape how future midwives, nurses and Maternal and Child Health practitioners understand gender equality and healthy relationships, while supporting organisations across Victoria to embed these approaches into everyday practice. The work you do will influence families, services and systems for years to come.
If you want to work with great people – we’d love to hear from you.
