Each November, Pride WA brings our community together for Pridefest — more than ten days and 100+ events of celebration, culture, sport and connection. We’re looking for an experienced festival producer to lead its end-to-end delivery, from budget ownership through to hands-on production on the ground.
About Pride WA
Pride WA has been part of the Western Australian community since 1989. Each November we produce Pridefest, WA’s largest LGBTQIA+ festival — spanning Fairday, the iconic Parade through Northbridge, parties, performances, sport, workshops and cultural events delivered with communities, businesses and venues across the state.
About the role
Reporting to a Board Delegate, you’ll be the lead staff member for Pridefest — responsible for end-to-end planning, production, budget and delivery, working to the Board’s parameters and the Festival Committee’s curatorial direction. For our two largest events, Fairday and the Parade, you’ll manage key contractors as Pride WA’s lead; across the rest of the program you’ll produce events in-house and in collaboration with partners and venues.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone highly organised, calm under pressure, financially literate, and genuinely committed to the LGBTQIA+ community. It involves regular evening and weekend work and active, on-site delivery across all festival venues, particularly across November.

What you’ll do
Lead planning, scheduling and delivery of the full program — pre-production through bump-in, delivery, bump-out and debrief
Manage the key contractors for Fairday and the Parade, and produce in-house events end to end
Procure and manage suppliers, technical contractors and crew,
and negotiate cost-effective agreements
Own the production budget, including forecasting, tracking, reconciliation and reporting to the Board
Lead risk, safety and compliance, including WHS, permits, licensing and event safety documentation
Recruit, roster and lead seasonal staff, crew and volunteers, and build robust stakeholder relationships
About you
Demonstrated experience producing festivals, major events or multi-venue public events, including site operations and technical production (staging, AV, lighting)
Proven skill managing contractors, suppliers and venues, and developing and managing event budgets
Sound knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) and its application to events
Strong leadership of teams, crews and volunteers, with excellent communication and the ability to stay calm in fast-paced environments
Genuine understanding of, and commitment to, the LGBTQIA+ community, and the ability to deliver culturally safe and inclusive events
Work rights for the term, a valid Working With Children Check, consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, and a WA Driver’s Licence (C Class minimum) are required. Full details are in the JDF.
