Overview

The Package: $1,425.79 - $1,575.46 gross per week + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2026) and Award increases of 4% in 2027-28 and 4% in 2028-2029. Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.

We’re seeking a motivated skilled to help protect the communities drinking water and manage trade waste from private properties. Ideal for a plumber moving off the tools or somebody looking to move into the trade waste industry, this role combines fieldwork and office tasks with a real impact on public and environmental health.

Responsibilities

- Provide high quality advice and guidance to the community.
- Conduct inspections, maintain records and support compliance activities.
- Prepare concise reports, correspondence and technical advice.
- Support field testing and respond to development-related referrals.

Qualifications

- Has experience and/or qualifications in plumbing or liquid trade waste management.




- Understands public and environmental health risks and applies appropriate controls.
- Communicates clearly with stakeholders and produces quality written advice.
- Can maintain a professional demeanour when dealing with the public.
- Is organised, safety-focused and confident using digital systems and field-based tools.
