The Animal Referral Hospital – Essendon Fields is a multidisciplinary veterinary facility comprising three key departments: Emergency and Critical Care, Small Animal Internal Medicine, and Surgery. Our mission is to deliver exceptional Emergency and Specialist services, with our Emergency and Critical Care department operating 24/7 year-round.

Joining our team means you'll have access to advanced diagnostic imaging options, including MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, Endoscopy, and Ultrasound. We also perform in-house laboratory tests with an internal IDEXX laboratory station and ABL90 flex blood gas.

You/'ll collaborate with dedicated veterinarians, veterinary nurses, customer care representatives and clinic assistants who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their devoted owners.

Located in the Essendon Fields Airport Terminal – we are situated in a convenient location surrounded by cafes, supermarkets and pharmacies – which means you will never run out of coffee or snacks.

The Role

- Permanent part-time and casual positions available
- Combination of hospital shifts and consulting shifts
- Varied shifts including days, nights, and weekends
- Supportive and collaborative team environment—if you/'re new to ECC, we offer shadowing shifts with experienced ECC vets to guide you

About You

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent, with Veterinary Registration in Victoria




- A minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency veterinary practice, though it/u2019s not essential
- A strong team player committed to fostering a positive workplace atmosphere
- Eagerness to contribute innovative ideas that enhance the hospital’s growth and success
- Dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact tactfully with colleagues, pet owners, and referring veterinarians
