Maincrew is seeking an experienced HSEQT Advisor for a permanent FIFO opportunity supporting mining, civil, contracting and earthworks projects across regional Western Australia.

This is a key site leadership role suited to a proactive and practical safety and training professional who is confident working with people at all levels of a project. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in training, mentoring and developing site teams, with the ability to help build and nurture a positive, accountable and high‑performing workplace culture.

As the business enters its next stage of growth, your ability to support people, strengthen systems and promote consistent safety and quality standards will be vital. You will act as an significant conduit between project management, supervisors, teams on the ground and the client, ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and operational priorities remain aligned.

About the Role

Reporting to the HSEQT Manager and onsite Superintendents, the HSEQT Advisor will support the implementation and ongoing delivery of site HSEQT systems, plans and procedures across mining, civil and earthworks operations.

This role requires someone who is visible, approachable and capable of balancing safety, training, quality and operational priorities. You will work closely with project leaders and frontline crews to provide practical guidance, improve capability and support the safe and efficient delivery of works.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting project and line management with the implementation of HSEQT management plans, project requirements and site safety systems
- Acting as a trusted conduit between project management, onsite teams, supervisors and client representatives
- Mentoring, coaching and supporting supervisors and team members to strengthen safety leadership and workplace capability
- Helping develop and nurture a positive, accountable and high‑performing safety culture across the project
- Delivering onsite training, inductions, coaching and practical safety guidance
- Supporting the prioritisation and scheduling of HSEQT activities in line with project and operational requirements




- Liaising with client representatives and site leadership to ensure compliance documentation is current, accurate and aligned with project expectations
- Monitoring earthworks, civil and project activities to ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements and company systems
- Participating in incident, hazard and event investigations, including ICAM or Tap RooT processes
- Assisting project teams to identify practical corrective actions and sustainable HSEQT solutions
- Conducting pre‑starts, toolbox meetings, inspections and return‑to‑work support where required
- Promoting visible and consistent safety leadership across site
- Inputting, reviewing and analysing safety data, statistics, trends and reports
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, training and operational performance
- Building strong working relationships with crews and encouraging open, respectful communication across all levels of the project

About You

The successful candidate will be a confident and collaborative HSEQT professional with strong site experience and a genuine interest in developing people.

You will have sound knowledge of earthworks, civil or contracting environments and understand the importance of balancing compliance with practical site delivery. You will be organised, approachable and able to prioritise competing requirements while maintaining strong relationships with project management, clients, supervisors and frontline teams.

You will also demonstrate:

- Strong people management, mentoring and coaching capabilities
- The ability to build trust and positively influence site teams
- Good prioritisation, planning and scheduling skills
- Sound earthworks, civil or contracting knowledge
- A practical and solutions‑focused approach to safety and compliance
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills




- The confidence to challenge unsafe practices constructively
- The ability to promote accountability while maintaining positive working relationships
- A commitment to developing a strong safety, training and quality culture

To be considered, you must have:

- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety – essential
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – essential
- Incident investigation qualifications such as ICAM or Tap RooT
- Current First Aid qualification
- OHS Construction Industry White Card
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems
- Minimum three to five years’ experience in an HSEQT Advisor, HSE Advisor or similar site‑based role
- Demonstrated experience training, mentoring and developing site personnel
- Australian work rights

Highly desirable experience includes:

- Earthworks, civil, contracting or project delivery environments
- Mining or FIFO operations
- Supervisory, leadership or people development experience
- 4WD certification
- Major mining client site access experience
