Are you a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Services Engineer or Project Manager with a strong building services background looking to make the move client side?

We're partnering with a leading data centre owner, developer and operator to recruit a Project Manager to join their growing Sydney team. This is an outstanding opportunity to transition from a head contractor, building services contractor or engineering environment into an owner/operator role, delivering some of Australia's most significant critical infrastructure projects.

Working across both office and site environments, you'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle—from front-end feasibility and design development through procurement, construction, commissioning and operational handover. You'll play a key role in influencing project outcomes, participating in design workshops and working closely with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technically complex projects and is looking to broaden their experience beyond construction delivery into the development and ownership side of the industry.

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of major data centre developments across Sydney.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the end-to-end delivery of complex data centre and critical infrastructure projects.
- Contributing to front-end feasibility studies, project planning and design development.
- Participating in design coordination meetings, providing practical buildability and engineering input.




- Coordinating consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing procurement activities, tender processes and contractor appointments.
- Assisting with programme management, budgeting, project risk and quality assurance.
- Overseeing the delivery of major mechanical and electrical services packages.
- Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Managing project interfaces, risks and construction constraints.
- Supporting construction delivery, testing, commissioning and operational handover.
- Building strong relationships with both internal teams and external project partners.

About You

We're looking to speak with candidates who have a strong Mechanical, Electrical or Civil services background gained on technically complex building projects.

You may currently be working as a:

- Mechanical Project Engineer
- Electrical Project Engineer
- Services Manager
- Mechanical or Electrical Services Contractor

Previous data centre experience is highly regarded but not essential. Candidates from other technically complex, services-intensive sectors including commercial buildings, hospitals,



laboratories, defence, airports, industrial, pharmaceuticals or other critical infrastructure projects are encouraged to apply.

Skills & Experience

- Approximately 7+ years' experience with a reputable head contractor, engineering contractor or building services contractor.
- Strong Mechanical, Electrical or Civil services background on major building projects.
- Experience delivering technically complex projects with significant building services packages.
- Sound understanding of project delivery, construction methodologies and commissioning.
- Ability to coordinate consultants, contractors and multiple project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, programmes and project documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of programme, cost and project risk.
