Live-in Couple Chance – Country Estate in the Heart of England
Positions: Housekeeper & Maintenance Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated couple to fill the roles of Housekeeper and Maintenance/Handyman on a stunning country estate in the heart of England, for a very high-profile family. Whether you come from a background in yachting or have experience working in private estates for UHNWIs, we would love to hear from you. You will be provided with a 2 bedroom, semi-detached cottage on the estate grounds, complete with a large garden, and pets are welcome to join you!
About the Property
This is one of the largest, most impressive estates in the area. The estate also includes a guest accommodation with 9 additional bedrooms, often used for overnight stays.
The principals are primarily in residence during weekends and school holidays, and you will be joining a friendly and supportive team of 15 members. As this is a new role for the estate, we're looking for a couple with a proactive,
can-do attitude who can integrate seamlessly into the existing team.
Housekeeper Responsibilities
As a housekeeper, you will work alongside the interior team to ensure the property’s upkeep and cleanliness. The estate boasts a lot of character, so attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards is essential.
Maintenance Manager/Handyman Responsibilities
The maintenance role will involve managing general repairs, basic DIY, and addressing any issues that arise around the property. When not actively engaged in maintenance, you will support other members of the estate team, lending a hand wherever needed.
Key Qualities We’re Looking For
- A couple with solid experience in similar roles
- A positive, team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility and a willingness to help in different areas of the estate
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience working with UHNWI clients or in high-end estates/yachting environments (preferred but not essential)
