The position of Clinical Research Nurse will support the AIICF team to provide clinical care for paediatric respiratory research participants.

About The Team

The Airway Infections, Inflammation and Cystic Fibrosis (AIIFC) Research Group is focused on the assessment and evolution of early lung diseases and the development of evidence-based management, particularly in cystic fibrosis, acute viral bronchiolitis, ataxia telangiectasia and asthma.

About The Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.

You’ll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.

Your Contribution Will Include

Research specific roles and responsibilities

- Support and conduct participant study visits, including clinic based and remote (telephone/virtual) visits, paediatric respiratory assessments, and protocol specified procedures such as specimen collection (e.g. swabs, sputum where appropriate) in line with source documentation and age-appropriate care standards.
- Provide safe, developmentally appropriate, and family centred paediatric respiratory nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents participating in research, ensuring participant safety, comfort, and protocol adherence.




- Support the day-to-day conduct of paediatric respiratory research in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), study protocols, organisational policies, and regulatory requirements.
