The chance

We're looking for an Audit Senior to join our Assurance Division at our Sydney Barangaroo office. With over 60 people in Audit & Assurance, HLB offers genuine career progression , exposure to diverse work, and the opportunity to make a real impact.

With continued growth and an expanding range of assurance services, you'll work with a diverse client portfolio across a range of industries, including climate‑related financial disclosures and emerging areas .

As an Audit Senior, You Will

- Work collaboratively with teams to deliver assurance engagements across a diverse client base
- Support the delivery of high‑quality financial audit engagements from planning through to completion




- Research and apply accounting and assurance standards to address technical matters
- Manage allocated engagement tasks and respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner
- Gain exposure to a range of assurance engagements, including climate‑related financial disclosures and emerging areas
- Mentor, supervise and effectively delegate work to junior team members

About you

You're someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, professional environment and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes. You'll bring:

- Experience in a similar role, ideally within a Big 4 or mid‑tier firm
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in audit/assurance environment
- Recent experience in external audit and ability to manage multiple engagements
- Good working knowledge of financial reporting and auditing standards
- CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach
- The ability to manage priorities and work effectively as part of a team
