Remuneration: Level 7 from $118,483 + leave loading + 17% super
Why Your Role Matters
The Education Outreach Coordinator leads the delivery of outreach and engagement initiatives designed to build awareness of study opportunities at UNSW Canberra across undergraduate, postgraduate and skilled education pathways. The primary focus of the role is the management and delivery of education outreach initiatives that engage school students and educators and build awareness of UNSW Canberra study pathways. The role reports to the Head of Engagement and Impact and engages on a regular basis with several key senior stakeholders.
Accountabilities
- Manage and design outreach programs and engagement activities that connect schools, educators, community organisations and strategic partners with UNSW Canberra’s teaching and research strengths.
- Through events, partnerships and targeted initiatives, support efforts to strengthen the future student pipeline in the ACT and surrounding regions.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Future Students, Marketing and Communications, Innovation and Industry Partnerships, and academic schools, to implement outreach activities that showcase UNSW Canberra’s expertise in areas such as cybersecurity, digital engineering, defence, and national security.
Who You Are
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience leading outreach, engagement or education programs, preferably within higher education, government or community sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement when coordinating activities involving schools or young people.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for engagement and continuously improving outreach activities.
- Experience in planning and delivering events or engagement activities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience supporting marketing or promotional activities associated with programs or events.
