Overview

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) will be a valued member of the Kerferd team and support the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to provide strong leadership and role modelling by ensuring a high level of consumer care and service provision. The ANUM will be able to function in complex situations while providing support and direction to all members of the nursing and multidisciplinary team. The ANUM will also be able to provide clinical and administrative management of the unit in the absence of the NUM and on a shift by shift basis.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and role modelling for high-quality consumer care; support and direct nursing and multidisciplinary team members; manage the unit clinically and administratively when the NUM is absent; navigate complex situations; maintain high standards of service provision.

Qualifications

- Current eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Postgraduate Qualification in Mental Health Nursing/Master in Mental Health Nursing
- Demonstrated competence in consumer centred care and problem solving skills at an advanced level
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team structure in a multidisciplinary environment
- Knowledge and prior involvement in quality improvement activities, staff development, research and/or risk management
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgement in ethical,



clinical and management issues
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development

Salary

Salary and terms will be in accordance with the relevant state EBA or Award.
