Project Controller

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls professional to support the successful delivery of multi‑discipline engineering projects. In this role, you will establish and implement project controls systems, ensuring accurate planning, cost control, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with internal teams and client representatives to maintain alignment, manage performance, and provide clear reporting on project scope, schedule, and cost. This role requires a hands‑on approach and strong technical capability across core project controls disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish Project Controls plans, systems, and procedures to support project delivery
- Liaise and align with client Project Controls representatives
- Develop and maintain project baselines for scope, schedule, and cost
- Coordinate baseline change management, including trend identification and reporting
- Measure project progress, including earned value and key performance indicators
- Support commercial management of contracts, including claims, variations, and payments
- Monitor and report on project scope, schedule, progress, and costs in line with reporting requirements
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all project controls deliverables

About You

You hold a degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or similar), Project Management, Construction Management, or Commerce,



and bring demonstrated experience in project controls within multi‑discipline engineering study phase projects. You have strong working knowledge of cost control, planning, progress reporting, and change management, along with sound commercial acumen. You are confident working across stakeholders and thrive in a structured, deadline‑driven environment. You bring strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables, and advanced capability across MS Office (particularly Excel), Power BI, and project controls systems. Hands‑on experience with Primavera P6 is preferred, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality outcomes.
