Overview

The Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Service (DFVSAS) is responsible for delivering sexual assault and domestic violence services across ISLHD, leadership and capacity building within these portfolios and within ISLHD Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) service system. Working within a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, crisis intervention and ongoing counselling while helping to strengthen access to services across the region. Are you passionate about supporting children, young people, adults, and families who have been impacted by violence, abuse and/or neglect? Then you could be the perfect person to join the ISLHD Prevention and Response to Violence Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) clinical services located on the lands of the Dharawal and Yuin nations. You will be contributing to the development of a learning culture where reflection, accountability, integration and service excellence are promoted across ISLHD Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) services.





This is an opportunity to work in a trauma‑specific counselling service. There is opportunity to participate in quality and service improvement activities, accreditation processes, research, supervision, peer review, project teams, department meetings and working parties.

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, crisis intervention, ongoing counselling and support services to adults, young people and children impacted by domestic and family violence or sexual assault.

Contribute to strengthening access to services across the region.

Qualifications

• Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.

• Working With Children Check (WWCC).

• Current AHPRA Registration or Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

• Valid NSW Drivers Licence.

Additional Information

This is a temporary leave relief position until 28 February 2027 with the possibility of extension.
