Animal Referral Hospital Wollongong is a well‑established small animal emergency hospital providing emergency and overnight care for the entire Illawarra region. We pride ourselves on offering the highest standard of patient care.

Our Facility

- A total of nine consult rooms, with five current ones added
- Three state‑of‑the‑art surgical theatres, with two more added
- Purpose‑built areas for dental care, ultrasound, and endoscopy
- A shiny new reception area with a cat‑friendly waiting zone

Responsibilities

- Provide nursing care to critically ill and injured patients
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver timely and effective emergency treatments
- Monitor patients closely, administer medications, and assist with medical procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
- Offer support and guidance to pet owners during stressful situations

Qualifications

- Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent




- Previous experience with complex emergency cases
- Ability to provide high‑quality patient care even in busy conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Friendly, team‑player attitude
- Flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
- A passion for continuous education and upskilling
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
