About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Storeperson with a forklift license to join our Defence logistics and warehousing team at HMAS Stirling in Garden Island WA. The Storeperson will support warehouse operations, inventory control, freight handling, and the secure movement of Defence‑related equipment and materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch Defence equipment and supplies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Use warehouse management systems to manage stock accurately and action reports.
- Maintain safety standards, site cleanliness, and compliance with Defence regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve operational targets and deliver results.

Qualifications & Experience

- A current forklift license (or willingness to obtain one).
- A valid driver’s licence (C class).
- Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
- Strong teamwork, communication,



and attention to detail.
- A safety‑first mindset.
- Strong time‑management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, or related industries (desirable but not essential).

Eligibility

You must be an Australian citizen, entitled to work in Australia, and eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline level or higher). You must also be prepared to undertake pre‑employment checks including a criminal history check, medical assessment and other background assessments.
