Position Profile

We are seeking to appoint an Aboriginal Diversion Officer.

Responsibilities

- Provides alcohol and other drug assessment, referral and intervention to offenders with a drug use problem, appearing in the Magistrate’s Court as part of a Diversion Program.
- Delivers alcohol and other drug community development, prevention and early intervention programs within the project’s rural and remote communities.
- Liaises with the Aboriginal Health Program Officer of the Drug and Alcohol Office regarding the specific supports required for the implementation of the program.

Eligibility & Conditions

Eligibility to Apply: Pursuant of Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, the occupant of this position must be of Aboriginal descent.
