THE ROLE
- As the Corporate Services Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of Council's Corporate Services department. This diverse position is responsible for coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting employee training and development programs, maintaining accurate employee records, and providing professional administrative support across a range of corporate functions.
- Working closely with managers, employees, trainees, service providers, and community stakeholders, you will provide timely advice and support, coordinate workforce development initiatives, assist with policy and compliance activities, and ensure corporate records and documentation are maintained to a high standard.
- This role is suited to a highly organised and adaptable professional who can manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting a broad range of Corporate Services functions including human resources, governance, records management, administration, procurement, and special projects.
THE BENEFITS
- Croydon Shire offers a total remuneration package valued at approximately $104k p.a. The package includes a base salary of approx. $86k, 12% superannuation, locality allowance up to $6,700 p.a. five weeks paid annual leave and 17.5% leave loading. You'll also have access to low-cost housing, a free annual gym membership and up to $3,000 relocation assistance. The role is full-time with a nine-day fortnight.
ABOUT YOU
- You are an organised and proactive professional with experience in human resources, administration, or a related field. You have robust communication skills, enjoy working with a diverse range of stakeholders, and can build positive working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- You have a high level of attention to detail and take pride in maintaining accurate records, preparing professional correspondence, and handling confidential information with discretion and integrity. You are confident using Microsoft Office and business systems and can manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- You are adaptable, customer-focused, and committed to continuous improvement. With sound knowledge of employment-related legislation and administrative processes, you are comfortable supporting recruitment, training, governance, and compliance activities while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
