About the role

The Framing Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Picture Framer to join our team on a full-time basis at our Coburg North location. This is a hands-on role within our assembly and process work operations, where you will be responsible for creating and assembling high-quality picture frames and framed artwork. Your meticulous attention to detail and technical expertise will be essential to delivering finished products that meet our customers' exacting standards and enhance their spaces. This position is integral to our production workflow and directly impacts customer satisfaction and the reputation of The Framing Company.

Key responsibilities

- Measuring, cutting and preparing materials including timber, matboard, glass and backing board to precise specifications

- Assembling frame components using appropriate techniques and adhesives to create sturdy, professional-quality frames

- Preparing and mounting artwork, photographs and other materials within frames with precision and care

- Operating framing equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, including saws, cutters and joining tools

- Inspecting finished frames for quality, accuracy and defects before packaging and dispatch

- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

- Following design specifications and customer requirements accurately to ensure all frames meet expectations

- Managing inventory of framing materials and reporting on stock levels as required

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Picture Framer or in a similar assembly and process work role within the manufacturing or framing industry

- Strong technical skills in measuring, cutting and joining materials with precision and accuracy

- Proficiency in operating standard framing equipment and machinery safely

- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality standards consistently





- Good understanding of different frame styles, materials and finishing techniques

- Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and handle materials safely throughout the working day

- Ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications accurately

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a production setting

- A commitment to health and safety in the workplace

- Preferred: experience with digital design systems or bespoke framing techniques
