Master Data Officer

Our Tier 1 Mining Client is looking for an experienced Master Data Officer to join a high-performing Asset Management team supporting one of Australia's largest industrial operations.

Roster: 5/2 Perth based

Start date: Mid to late August 2026

Duration: approx. 6 months - depending on client requirements

Pay Rate: $85 p/h + Super depending on experience

The Role:

This role is ideal for someone with strong SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) experience who is passionate about data governance, asset integrity and continuous improvement. Working closely with engineering, maintenance and operational stakeholders, you will ensure critical asset master data remains accurate, compliant and fit for purpose.

As the Master Data Specialist - Governance, you will be responsible for maintaining and governing SAP PM master data while supporting improvements to asset management processes across a complex operational environment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Maintaining and validating SAP Plant Maintenance master data
- Developing and applying master data governance standards, policies and procedures
- Managing equipment masters, functional locations and asset hierarchies
- Performing data quality reviews, audits and compliance checks
- Loading and maintaining master data using LSMW and other SAP tools
- Working with engineering and maintenance teams to improve data quality and business processes
- Supporting SAP security access relating to master data management
- Assisting with testing, system improvements and automation initiatives




- Delivering guidance and training to stakeholders on master data standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement and governance initiatives across the asset management function

Required Experience:

- 5+ years' experience working with SAP PM and/or SAP MM
- Demonstrated experience managing SAP Plant Maintenance master data
- Strong understanding of master data governance, data quality and validation principles
- Experience creating and loading LSMW scripts
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation including P&IDs;, process flow diagrams and technical drawings
- Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Experience:

- Trade or Engineering qualification
- SAP certification
- Experience with SharePoint or automation tools
- Previous experience within mining, resources, heavy industry, energy or manufacturing
