As we continue to grow, so too does our team. We are looking for the right candidate to take on the role of Maritime Coordinator. This is a Full time role, based onsite in our Darwin office.
Position Overview:
The Maritime Coordinator plays a key role in providing onsite logistics, administration and operational support on one of our key programs.
Key Accountabilities:
The key accountabilities for this role include:
Logistics
- Onsite engagement with Crew to understand Crew logistics and victualling requirements.
- Onsite receival of stores at Darwin Office / Warehouse. Verifying POD & sending relevant advice to Vessel Owner.
- Engagement with local suppliers in the supply and delivery of food, equipment, spares and maintenance to the Vessels.
- Raise requisitions and orders and verification of the supplier invoices to orders.
- Stores ordering, equipment, tooling
Travel and Accommodation
- Make travel and accommodation arrangements for crew to join the vessel or return home.
- Communicate travel arrangements with crew
- Pick-up and delivery of the crew form the airport to/ from the vessel and airport and medical appointments
Subcontract and supplier engagement
- Engage with local suppliers to support provision of victualling supplies or maintenance services to the vessel
Maintenance tracking
- Update of the Maintenance database to reflect defect status and reporting
Security Clearances
- Interface with the Birdon security clearance team to support new crew members to achieve and maintain the required security clearances for the Program.
- Engage with new recruits to support them through the security clearances process, as required.
Day to Day crew engagement
- Engagement with Crew whilst at sea and when alongside to respond to crew enquiries and support their stores / supply requirements
Administration and accounting
- General administrative activities, use of email, excel and word.
Qualifications, Experience and SkillsEssential.

- Ability to make decisions
